Jacqueline M. Kelly, 89, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully Friday, July 5th, 2024. Born in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Alice (Menard) Gagnon. Jackie was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Frank Kelly .

Jackie was a longtime resident of Cumberland before moving to Smithfield in 2005. Jackie and Frank spent many warm winters in Stuart, Florida. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and bocce and was an active member of the Smithfield Senior Center. One of her greatest joys was hosting Sunday dinners for her children and grandchildren.

Jackie is survived by her three children, Susan Opiekun and her husband Robert, Michael Kelly and his wife Christine, and Lori Chadwick and her husband Mathew. She was a loving grandmother to Brian, Kristin, Zackary, Mathew, and Kyle and the proud great-grandmother of  Keira, Catarina, and Max. Jackie is also survived by her sister Pauline Foss and her brother Laurent Y. Gagnon and his wife Louise.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, July 11th, at 11:00 AM at St Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Rd, Cumberland. The burial will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, July 11th from 9:00 - 10:30 AM, prior to Mass, in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Rd, Cumberland.
