Robert M. Benjamin, Sr.

 Robert M. Benjamin Sr., 86, of Cumberland, passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Ella (Milliman) Benjamin. They were happily married for 66 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late J. Arthur and Lucille (Carrier) Benjamin.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Benjamin, Robert Benjamin Jr. and his wife Kathleen, Russell Benjamin and his wife Joy, Michelle Poirier and her husband Douglas, and Melissa Pimental and her husband Donald; two sisters, Janine Lariviere and Jane Pence, his brother, Gerald Benjamin, thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Claire Jolly. 

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Monday, March 16th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. 

The funeral and burial will be private.
