Obituary

Mary E. Goodwin of Rumford died on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Emerald Bay Manor in Cumberland, RI. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Peter Goodwin and Elizabeth (Curley) Goodwin. Mary was a graduate of Bryant University and taught in the Business Department of the William E. Tolman High School for nearly three decades. She was an avid golfer and a member of the Pawtucket Country Club for more than fifty years. Mary was also a member of the Pawtucket Teachers Alliance as well as the RIAFT Retired Teachers Association.
Sincere appreciation to the devoted staff at Emerald Bay Manor for the love and kindness shown to Mary during her time there and to the caregivers from Home & Hospice Care of RI for their compassion and loving care.
Miss Goodwin was predeceased by her parents and her beloved sister, Madelyn Goodwin. She leaves behind several cousins and many devoted friends.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Miss Goodwin on Wednesday, November 6, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret''s Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Her burial will be in Mt. St. Mary''s Cemetary, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Miss Goodwin will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
