William D. Thibodeau, 86, a resident of Port St. Lucie, Florida for the past 16 years, and formerly of Massachusetts, passed away on May 3, 2026. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda (Roderick) Thibodeau. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Florence (Hill) Thibodeau.
Bill served as a correctional officer for the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office in Massachusetts for many years prior to his retirement. While he did not have children of his own, his nieces and nephews—who affectionately called him "Boo-Boo"—were like children to him. He and his late wife, Linda, cherished the time spent with them, creating countless memories.
Since moving to Florida, Bill met Del Larivee, whom he shared a home with in Port St. Lucie, Florida. They made many friends there and were involved in many activities in their neighborhood.
He is survived by his partner of 16 years, Delores Larivee, and his nieces and nephews: Christine Tedesco, Rene Whalen, Michael Thibodeau, Pam Bolton, Jean Hannon-Daly, Christine Williams, and Barb Foley. He was predeceased by his nephew, Stephen Hannon, Jr., and his siblings, Phillip Thibodeau, Steve Hannon, Jean Hannon, and Richard Thibodeau.
Funeral and burial services will be private.
