William J. Gray, 83, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy Patricia Gray. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late William and Gertrude (Hunt) Gray. William was an army veteran. He was the executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Cumberland for 15 years, from 1978 to 1993. He also worked at Texas Instruments, Pawtucket YMCA, Executive Director of Camp Westwood YMCA and Custom Color. He served as Treasurer of the New England Commision of Boys and Girls Clubs of America, Secretary of the Southern New England and Rhode Island Council of Boys and Girls Clubs of America and President of the Cumberland-Lincoln Rotary Club where he was named a Paul Harris Fellow.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Peter Gray and John Gray, his brother, Donald Gray, his grandchildren, Peter Jr, Thomas, Patrick Gray and Maranda McGinn. He also leaves great-grandchildren, Brigid and Beckett Gray. He was the father of the late Lynda McGinn.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 16th at 10:00 AM in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, January 15th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
