Walter "Hank" Poirier

Walter “Hank” Poirier, 70, of West Warwick passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Carol (Angell) Poirier.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Theresa (Rodriguez) and Walter Henry Poirier. Hank worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry for many years.

Besides his wife, Hank is survived by his daughter Rebecca Poirier. He leaves behind his siblings Lisa Marcotte, Donna Morgan, Carl Poirier, and Tina Poirier. Hank was the brother of the late Nelson Poirier.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the O’Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 261 West Wrentham Road, Cumberland. Visitation will take place prior to the Funeral Service from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM in the O’Neill Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hank's memory to The American Cancer Society.
