Vincenzina (Nardi) DiManna, 84, of Cumberland, RI died peacefully on March 30th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Antonio DiManna for 62 years, and daughter of the late Antonino and Maria Assunta Nardi (Conti).
Born in Pico, Italy - Vincenzina graduated as a fashion stylist and designer for both men and women. She taught other aspiring professionals in Italy until she and Tony chose to move their family to America in 1969. Through word of mouth she became a popular source for tailoring and custom special-occasion formal wear needs. Some of her most beautiful work encompassed wedding gowns and intricate christening and communion dresses for family and friends that will be treasured pieces forever.
In addition to her work as a seamstress, she was also known for her passion and love of cooking. Everyone came to know and expect to be offered something delicious to eat and knew it would be much easier to just accept, sit down and enjoy. Everything she created was made fresh, homemade and from traditional recipes with her own special twist.
She was so proud to spend time with her grandchildren, talking about her recipes and showing them how to prepare different things. She took great pride in bringing the family together and making memories.
In addition to her husband, Vincenzina is survived by their children, Carla DiManna and her husband Carlo Papa, Gian DiManna, and Antonio DiManna, Jr. and his wife Melissa. She also leaves her six adoring grandchildren, Marina and Erica Papa, Gian and Lucas DiManna, Maya and Vienna DiManna, her two great-grandchildren Ascanio and Bianca, her two sisters Concetta Nardi and Sandra Mayo, her two brothers Silvio and Antonio Nardi, her daughter-in-law Leslie DiManna, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her beloved siblings Antonio, Maria, Giuseppe, Annunziata, and Palmina Nardi.
All funeral arrangments and services will be private.
