With deep love and sadness, we announce the unexpected passing into eternal life of Vincent M. Soucar, 87, of Seekonk, MA, on Monday, July 13, 2026, with his beloved wife, Barbara (Banna) Soucar of 60 years by his side. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Phillip and Rose (Akel) Soucar. He was a United States air force veteran. In 1968, he became a self-employed carpet installer. Vincent started Vinnie Soucar Carpets of Pawtucket and operated it until his retirement in 2009.
Over the years, he employed and helped many young men learn his trade of carpet installation and flooring. He was an active parishioner of Saint Basil the Great Church. Vinnie was known for his humor, easy going personality and willingness to help others. He always made people laugh and he loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He loved spending time outdoors, gardening, enjoying his backyard and having a glass of wine on the deck with his wife.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Anthony Soucar and partner Peter Gemei, Thomas and wife Sara (Charlwood) Soucar, Peter and wife Jennifer (Flori) Soucar, and Maria Collaccino. He also leaves his grandchildren Lauren and Andrew Soucar and his brother Dr. Emil Soucar. He was the brother of the late Joseph Soucar and Margaret Barishian.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Saint Basil the Great Church, Skyview Drive, Lincoln. Burial with military honors will follow at Saint Basil the Great Cemetery, Cumberland.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Saint Basil the Great Church.
In memory of his love for Christ and devotion to his church, in lieu of flowers, donations in Vincent’s memory may be made to Saint Basil the Great Church Building Fund.
