Timothy D. Carroll, of Rumford, passed into eternal life on February 9, 2023. He was born in Pawtucket, and was the son of the late Blanche Carroll and Roland Carroll. Tim is survived by his daughter, Denise Carroll, his two grandsons: Wayne Carroll and Austin Gordon, as well as his great granddaughter, Ryleigh Gordon.
Tim worked for the Arc of Blackstone Valley for over 40 years and was the Program Director of Recycling for Adults with Disabilities. After his retirement in 2014, he continued to assist adults with special needs. Throughout the course of Tim's life, when he wasn't too busy helping people, he was passionate about traveling and experiencing the world—something he later shared with his grandsons by taking them on multiple trips. Tim was also an avid history buff and had a vast collection of historical artifacts. He enjoyed related activities such as going to reenactments and visiting Native American Reservations. Locally, he was a member of The Rehoboth Historical Society. Tim was a one-of-a-kind person who loved his family and friends very much. He will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service for Mr. Carroll on Tuesday, February 21st, at 6:00 PM, at the Costigan O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St. Pawtucket, RI. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 4:00-6:00 PM.
His burial, following the service, will be private.
