Thomas C. Sanford, 22, of Cumberland, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2018. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of Steven T. Sanford and Brenda Chevalier. Thomas graduated from Cumberland High School in 2016 where he loved playing football with the Cumberland Clippers. He was employed at Commercial Heating Service as well as working with family and friends remodeling homes. He was known to have a contagious laugh, always teasing anyone who stepped in his path. Besides his father, stepmother, Diane Sanford, and mother, he is survived by his sisters, Taylor Sanford and Kaitlyn Goyette, his brother, Joshua Chevalier, his paternal grandparents, Steven L.  and Marion (Bendl) Sanford, his maternal grandmother, Carol Chevalier, his aunt, Melissa Henault, and his cousins, Jillian Henault and Timothy Henault Jr. He also leaves many relatives in Karlsfeld, Germany. All who knew Thomas loved him and will miss him dearly.  Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Monday at 10AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 3-6PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project , in memory of Thomas.
