Thomas Huber, 65, of East Providence passed away suddenly at home on October 10, 2023. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary (Santos) Huber. He was a lifelong resident of East Providence.
Thomas was a graduate of the Hall Institute with a degree in drafting. He worked at Teknor Apex as a draftsman for 20 years. He was the owner of Just-In-Time handyman services to the present day.
Tom was an avid model train enthusiast. He built a large replica of many of East Providence's historic buildings with an emphasis on Rumford and Phillipsdale Landing along with the train trestles surrounding Washburn Wire.
He is survived by his siblings; Eileen (Robert) Trottier of Cumberland, Maureen Minicucci of Seekonk, and Michael (Elizabeth) Huber of Charlestown. He leaves six nieces and nephews: Michelle Voyer, Kristen Fulton, Melanie Bardsley, Melissa Maher, Michael Huber, and Gregory Minicucci. Tom also leaves 6 great grand nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 14th, at 10:00 AM in St. Margaret's Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Visiting hours will be held from 8:30-9:30 AM prior to mass in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, will immediately follow Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's name to your favorite charity.
