Suzanne Dunphy, 80, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with her family by her side Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Dunphy Sr. Born in Central Falls; and was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. She was the daughter of the late Laurent and Marie (Goyette) Menard. Suzanne was a secretary in the Pawtucket School Department for many years before retiring.

She is survived by her children, Edward Dunphy Jr. and his wife Beth of Seekonk, MA, Kevin Dunphy of Pawtucket, and Kelly Whitfield and her husband Todd of North Providence, her daughter-in-law, Ann Dunphy of Weymouth, MA; her grandchildren, Samantha Davis, Brennan Dunphy, Sean Dunphy, Robert Dunphy, Jenna Dunphy, Seth Dunphy, Bria Dunphy, Averi Whitfield, and first great grandson Maverick Davis.  She also leaves her siblings, Patricia Sanders, Donald Menard, and Laurent Menard. She was the mother of the late Michael Dunphy and the sister of the late Armand Menard, Francis Menard, and Jacqueline Tomaszewski.

"Nana" loved her family, friends and most of all her grandchildren. Great family memories were made in the summers at her cottage in Matunuck RI. She was an avid bingo player and always had a cribbage board at the ready for a game and loved playing card games and doing puzzles with her grandkids. Nothing made her happier than watching her kids and grandchildren participating in their sporting events and dance competitions. She was their biggest and loudest fan and supporter.

Always willing to offer a helpful hand to family, friends and strangers. This was true with the many students she worked with at school and throughout her years volunteering at the Pawtucket Food Bank.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, October 7th at 10:00 AM in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Mary, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are on Sunday, October 6th from 2:00 – 5:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
