Stephen McGill, 59, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Tuesday, October 24, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Nancy (O'Neill) McGill. They were happily married for 29 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Esther (Hanley) McGill. Stephen worked for P & W Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 2017. Besides his wife, he is survived by his cherished children, Lauren McDonald and her husband Michael, and Sarah McGill, three sisters, Kathryn McGill, Susan McKee and her husband Lt. Governor Daniel McKee, and Maryanne Cragin and her husband, Rick; his brother, Joseph McGill and his wife, Andrea. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Gayle Cardoso. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM in Saint Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday from 4-7PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home.
