Stephen "Steve" Lipka, 90, 0f Manville, Rhode Island, passed away on September 26, 2023. He was born on April 6. 1933 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Steve was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed swimming in the pool and in the ocean with his grandchildren, as well as admiring the surroundings of the hill at the farm. His 2002 Ford 150 truck was his pride and joy. Steve was an outgoing individual who enjoyed initiating conversations with everyone he met.

Steve is survived by his spouse Ruth Lipka, daughter Deanne Lipka Jones, grandchildren Olivia Jones, Robert (B0) Jones, Kensley Lipka, and Connor Lipka, and his daughter-in-law Nancy Lipka. He was preceded in death by his father Wasyl Lipka, mother Catherine Marnatovich, brother Brodhan (Bobby) Lipka and his son, Craig Lipka.

Steve served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. He earned an MBA and passed the CPA exam at Michigan State University. Steve had a successful career as a corporate CEO/CFO for multiple corporations in New York City before retiring to run his own CPA firm in New Jersey. He was accredited by the US Department of Education for his financial aid computer program for proprietary schools. In 2012, Steve moved to Rhode Island with Ruth, where he enjoyed taking care of the family farm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 4th at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 33 Division Street, Manville, RI, followed by burial at St. James Cemetery, Old River Road, Manville. Visiting hours have been respectfully omitted.

The O'Neill Funeral Home at 2102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Steve Lipka will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his service to his country, and his passion for his work and the farm he cherished.
