Sokhom Trong, of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life at home surrounded by her loving family on April 19, 2024. She was born in Cambodia, the daughter of the late Trong Sor and Sokon Rim.
Her story of life and survival at a young age is a testament to her strength and perseverance are what heroes are made of. She was proud to become an America Citizen as well as graduate from Katharine Gibbs School.
Sokhom is survived by the love of her life Sean Hughes, Sister Sokha Trong Birkett and her fiancée Jason Ramos, nephews Jonthre and Joseph, Brother Jonthree Trong his wife Lisa Kue, their children Meliane, Maykayla, Jacaida and son Jonathan. As well as aunts, cousins and a large extended family that loved her.
Family and friends regard her has having the biggest heart for her selfless acts. Well respected within her community. She loved her church, traveling, gardening and was an amazing cook. She will be deeply missed.
The family would like to give special thanks to Aunt & Uncle Khet and Khath Kong. Erwin and Karen Vahlsing for reason they are well aware of.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Memorial Service for Sokhom on Saturday, April 27th at 1:30 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, RI. 02860.
