Russell Edmund Camire

Russell E. Camire 59, of Woonsocket, RI, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, July 23, 2026 with family by his side. Born in Needham, MA, he was the son of the late Robert and Nancy (Schmaltz) Camire. Russell was a talented and accomplished craftsman, and licensed contractor in the construction industry for many years.

Russell was an avid New England Sports Fan. He had a passion for fishing, loved being by the ocean and could easily be found playing vintage pinball games at the arcade. He was somewhat of a candy connoisseur, having such a sweet tooth, there were always empty candy wrappers left where ever he was sitting. He was a very quiet and stoic man who was always very grounded serving as a strong rock for those who were closest to him.

Russell is survived by his longtime companion of nineteen years, Gail Dion, his siblings, Robert, Richard, Cheryl, and Tina, and his nieces and nephew, Rachael, Mark, Alaina, Danielle, and Ciara. Russell was the brother of the late Ronald Camire.

The funeral and burial will be private.
