Rosalie M. Dickie, 93, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 68 years to the late Kenneth L. Dickie. Originally from Lincoln, RI, she was the daughter to the late John F. and Mary R. (Jacobs) Hannaway. Rosalie lived in Pawtucket most of her life. She worked for many years with New England Telephone and later for Texas Instruments Credit Union. She was lovingly known to all as Grammy RoRo. RoRo and Ken liked to travel but their favorite spot was Cape Cod every summer with their family. She loved to be by the Ocean to watch the boats.
Her famous line was "Be Happy".
She is survived by her loving children, Donna O'Brien and her husband Jack, David Dickie, and Billy Dickie and his wife Giuseppina Scuderi-Marocco. She was the mother of the late Kenneth Dickie. She also leaves her adoring grandchildren, Keri O'Brien, Kristin Taylor, Shaun O'Brien, Erin Mignosa, Kevin Dickie, William Dickie, Paul Dickie, and Michael Dickie. She was the doting great-grandmother to Kaitlin O'Brien, Jordan Taylor, Ella Taylor, Kyle Ethier, Jack O'Brien, Kennedy Mignosa, Everly Mignosa, Lily O'Brien, and Robert Dickie. Rosalie was the great-great grandmother to Connor O'Brien-Canham. Rosalie remained close with her daughter-in-law Deb Dickie and her husband Paul, and she enjoyed keeping in touch with her nephews through the years. She was the sister of the late Mary Chabot, John Hannaway, and James Hannaway.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, January 3 rd at 11:00 AM in Saint Teresa Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Seekonk Cemetery, Seekonk, MA.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday morning, before the Mass, from 9:00-10:30 AM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
