Obituary

Roger A. Choiniere Sr. of South Attleboro, Massachusetts passed into eternal life on November 10, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

He was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

He was the loving husband of Rachel (Bodell) Choiniere. They had been lucky to celebrate 64 years together of marital bliss.

Mr. Choiniere was born in Central Falls, RI. The son of the late Armand Choiniere Sr. and Marie Jeanne (Valois) Choiniere. He is the brother of the late Claire Azzarone, Lionel Choiniere, Yvette Perron and is survived by his brother Armard Choiniere Jr, and sister Madeleine Wojcik.

In addition to his wife Rachel, Roger is survived by his children, Roger A Choiniere Jr and his wife Traci of Pawtucket; Leo A Choiniere and his wife Julie of Pawtucket; Jeanne Rachel Dow and her husband Edward of South Attleboro; Lionel Choiniere and his wife Marlena of Attleboro; Suzanne Burns and her husband Tom of South Attleboro; Laurence Choiniere and his wife Rachel of Attleboro; Michelle Lineman of Odessa, Florida. Roger is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. He is the grandfather of the late Derrick Choiniere.

Throughout his life he maintained a career working in the window covering industry with Rex Venetian Blind Company, Aborn Shade, and Blind King until finally retiring at 87 years of age. During this time, he also worked in the trucking industry for St. Johnsbury Trucking and Emery Air Freight.

Roger loved to get up and go to work every day. He also loved to take road trips in his Hemi Chrysler 300C. But more than this, he loved his family. He would do anything he could to help them succeed in life. Always enjoyed spending time with his family challenging the young ones to a game of ping pong. Roger also enjoyed camping and traveling with his family. He enjoyed playing softball and did so into his 70's. One of his favorite family traditions was to have a huge family gathering every Father's Day, rain or shine, at Lincoln Woods.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service for Mr. Choiniere on Saturday, November 18th at 10:00 AM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be Saturday morning from 9:00 -10:00 AM, prior to the service. The burial will be with full military honors in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
