Obituary

Robert J. O'Neill, 87, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was the beloved husband of the late Stephanie (Roszkowski) O'Neill. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Crane) O'Neill. Bob was an army veteran of the Korean War. He loved playing golf with his brothers and close friends, most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Prior to pursuing a 25-year career with the City of Pawtucket, Bob and his brother, Vincent, opened the O'Neill Funeral Home. Bob retired as the Tax Assessor for the City of Pawtucket in 1988. He is survived by his children, Robert "Ross" O'Neill, Patrick O'Neill and Katherine Artinian. He also leaves his grandchildren, Clio and Garo Artinian, his sister, Jane Couture, his brothers, Joseph and Raymond O'Neill. He also leaves his longtime friend and caregiver, Kristin Flynn. He was the brother of the late Josephine O'Brien, Mary Donovan, Dr. John, Thomas, William, Vincent, Nancy, and Paul O'Neill. The funeral will be held Monday, January 28th at 9AM from the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in Saint Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 2-5PM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home.
