Robert George Beaudet

Robert “Bob” George Beaudet, 88, of Cumberland, Rhode Island, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026.

Bob was the beloved husband of the late Katherine Barbara (Mahedy) Beaudet, his high school sweetheart and lifelong companion. Their marriage and the family they built together were among the greatest joys of his life.

Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Bob was the son of the late Dosithe “Gus” and Beatrice (Giard) Beaudet, He enjoyed a long and distinguished career with Raytheon Corporation, where he worked in the defense industry for 43 years before retiring. His career reflected the same qualities that defined his life: dedication, intelligence, loyalty, integrity and an unwavering commitment to doing things well.

Above all, Bob was devoted to his family. He is survived by his children, Kimberley Beaudet and Michael Beaudet and his wife, Ann. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Matthew Beaudet of Tampa, Florida; Zachary Beaudet of Framingham, Massachusetts; and Grace Beaudet of New York City.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara, whose memory remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Beyond his family and professional accomplishments, Bob leaves an enduring legacy within the amateur radio community, a passion that brought him great enjoyment, friendships, and a sense of connection over many years. Amateur radio was far more than a hobby for Bob; it was a lifelong pursuit that reflected his curiosity, technical ability, and love of communicating with people near and far. He will be remembered fondly by the many friends and fellow radio enthusiasts whose lives he touched.

Bob will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend, and gentleman whose quiet strength, generosity, knowledge, and love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
