Robert E. Aubin Sr., 82, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, January 29, 2026. He was the beloved husband of Anne (Brodeur) Aubin. They were happily married for 58 1/2 years. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Ovila and Talma (Desmarais) Aubin.

Frenchy, as Bob was known, was a welder for many years at Electric Boat, North Kingstown, RI. He was also known as" Bobo The Clown" and performed at many events in Blackstone Valley. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Stephen J. Moylan Assembly #1057, Woonsocket and was the former Grand Knight. Bob was a member of the Men of St. Joseph, Saint Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Donna Dopson and her husband James, Patricia Aubin, and Robert E. Aubin Jr. and his wife, Debra. He also leaves six grandchildren, Raymond Aubin, Ashley LaFontaine, Kyle Aubin, Jessica Dopson, Rachel Dopson, and Alex Dopson, two great-grandchildren, Rileigh and Oliver LaFontaine, and his sister Lucille Cyr. He was the brother of the late Roger Aubin and Joseph Aubin.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 6th at 10:00 AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket.
