Richard Paulhus, 79, of Pawtucket, passed away January 12, 2024. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Oszaica) Paulhus. He graduated from West High School in 1963. After high school, he enlisted in the army and served from 1967-1969 in Vietnam. Richard had a passion for reading books and taking walks. He found solace in the written word and exploring the world around him through leisurely strolls.

He is survived by his brothers, Henry L. Paulhus and his wife Therese of Cumberland, Robert Paulhus of Cranston, and Ronald Paulhus and his wife Judy of Foxboro, MA. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Deborah Paulhus of Cumberland, Christine Carr and her husband James of Cumberland, Chris Paulhus of Foxboro, MA, Mike Paulhus and Craig Paulhus, both of Moultonborough, NH, and Diane Peters and her husband Robert of Tucson, AZ. Richard was the brother of the late Barbara Martin.

May Richard rest in peace, forever remembered for his quiet nature and love for literature and nature.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday February 3rd at 12:00 PM, noon in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. The family will begin receiving guests at 11:00 AM, prior to the Service in the O'Neill Funeral Home.

The burial will be private.
