Richard N. Orr, Jr., 72, of Pawtucket, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Joyce (Lamphear) Orr. They were happily married for 49 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Eagle) Orr. Richard was an army veteran serving as a first lieutenant in the Vietnam conflict. He was a mechanical engineering technician who worked for NCR. He repaired various machinery, including cash registers for many years before retiring. He enjoyed auto racing and working on cars as hobbies.  He especially liked spending time with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Richard Orr III and his wife Kathleen, and Jennifer Sabatelli and her husband Gerald, his grandchildren, Keenan Orr, Elaina Orr, Jared Sabatelli, Samantha Orr, Jack Sabatelli, Aedan Orr, and Meredith Orr. He also leaves his brother, Randy Orr and his wife Jeanne, and his brother-in-law, Richard Lamphear. He was the brother of the late Robin Orr. A Requiem Service will be held Friday at 10:30 AM in Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, 3257 Post Road, Warwick. Burial with military honors will follow in RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Thursday from 4-6 PM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
