Richard L. Dargy, 81, of Cumberland, passed away Friday, November 24,2023.  He was the loving husband of Yvette (Bonin) Dargy for 56 years. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Louis and Florence (Dupre) Dargy.

Richard graduated from Sacred Heart Academy in Central Falls and then attended RI Radio and Electronics School.  He worked as the store manager for Jabbour Electronics for over 35 years, before retiring.  Not one to be idle, he then enjoyed working for the Pizza Hut at Target.  His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Besides his wife, Richard is survived by his children, David (Kristen) Dargy, Lisa (Richard) Silva, and Kristen (Daniel) Gillette.  Richard was the proud grandfather to Alicia, Shawn (Miranda), Zachary (Katharine), Meghan (Joshua), Alex, Kelly, Gehrig, and Grace, as well as his great grandchildren, Addison, Natalia, Dextin, and Danika. He was the brother of Jeanne (Carlos) Salustio, and uncle to Lori Plante and Amy Geremia.

Family and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, November 30th at 10:00 AM in Historic St. Joseph Church, 1303
Mendon Rd, Cumberland. Burial will be private. The family will be receiving guests prior to the Mass, in the Historic St.Joseph Church from 9:30-10:00 AM.
