Richard A. Benabio Sr., of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on March 31, 2025. He was the husband of Susan (Peltier) Benabio. Richard was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late August and Margaret (McGinn) Benabio.

He was an auto mechanic for many years before he worked for the Pawtucket School Department, until his retirement.

Besides his wife Susan, Richard is survived by his daughter Tracie Benabio-Pelland, his brother Robert Benabio and his wife Veronica, and his grandchildren, Jerry Pelland Jr., Isabella Pelland, and Nicholas Benabio. He was the father of the late Richard Benabio Jr., the stepson of the late Olive Benabio, and the brother of the late Judith Benabio.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 9th at 6:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. His calling hours will be on Wednesday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM, prior to the service, in the funeral home.
