Raymond Wilfred Robichaud, age 88, died peacefully in Ocean Springs, MS on August 4, 2023. He had recently moved back to South Mississippi where he always loved the people and the area. He was born in Central Falls and was a long time resident of Cumberland, RI.  After serving in the US Navy in Korea, Mr. Robichaud worked for the Department of Defense In Mississippi. He later worked as a defense contractor in the Washington, DC area until 1995, when he retired and moved back to Rhode Island.

Raymond was happily married to Theresa (Lambert) Robichaud, who was his longtime wife, until her death in October 2022.

Mr. Robichaud was an avid golfer who belonged to Lincoln Country Club for several years where he made a great number of friends. He was also a member of the VFW and American Legion.

He is survived by his son, Douglas Robichaud of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by his sister Jeanne Choiniere, four grandsons: Jason Kay (Kristen), Aaron Kay (Jennifer), Brad Girouard, and Brandon Girouard. He also leaves seven great grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Donald Robichaud, a son Donald, and two step children.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 7th at 10:00 AM at Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Rd., Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow the Mass. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
