Raymond P. Muratori, of West Warwick, entered into eternal life on Saturday, May 13, 2023. Ray was born in Woonsocket, the eldest son of the late Albert Muratori and Muriel (Rainville) Muratori.
Ray is survived by his daughters; Ashley Durden and her husband Ricky Durden of Florida, and Katherine Muratori of Coventry. He is survived by his siblings; Paul Muratori and his wife Linda Muratori of Providence, Diane St. Pierre, Michael Muratori, Thomas Muratori, and James Muratori of Pawtucket. Ray's childhood nickname was "Buckwheat" among the siblings. Ray also leaves one grandson, Ricky Durden Jr. (RJ) of Florida, and one "grand-puppy," Duncan. He was an uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as great niece and nephews.
Ray was cherished by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Ray worked many years at Newman Crosby Steel Mill in Pawtucket. He was a machinist at Astromed in West Warwick until his retirement. An avid fisherman, golfer, and all-around sportsman. Ray never met a sport he did not like and was a member of multiple sports associations. In later years, he participated in a multitude of fantasy sports leagues. A lover of nature and wildlife, Ray could point out a turtle sunning on a rock from the road - even without his Bushnell binoculars.
