Raymond T. Bush, 84, of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully with his family by his side Thursday, February 8, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Cormier) Bush. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Regina (Pearl) Bush. Ray was a graduate of LaSalle Academy and Bryant university. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, frequently vacationing in Narragansett, RI and Madison, New Hampshire. A Certified Public Accountant, he retired as the Chief Financial Officer of the Maguire group in Foxboro, MA, an engineering firm responsible for major redevelopment projects in Boston and Providence. Ray also dedicated his time to St. Michael's Church and Amos House, both located in Providence.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Laura (Bush) Langley and her husband, Mark Langley, of Dighton, MA, Raymond Bush and his wife Brenda (Beauvais) Bush of Burrillville, RI, Matthew Bush and his wife Niurka Coy-Bush of NJ, James Bush and his wife Jacquelyn Doucette of North Attleboro, MA, and Michael Bush and his wife Erin (Machado) Bush of North Attleboro, MA; his sisters, Anna McDowell of New Braunfels, TX, Barbara Bush of Narragansett, RI, and Mary Lou and her husband Robert DiPadua of Coventry, RI. He also leaves his grandchildren, Rebecca (Langley) McKinnon and husband Ryan, Ashley (Langley) Tortora and husband Matthew, Austin Langley and wife Christy, Nicholas Bush, Evan Bush, Davis Bush, Michael D. Bush, Olivia Bush, Emma Bush, Julia Bush, James Bush II, Allyson Bush, Samuel Bush, and Andrew Doucette; his great grandchildren, Anna McKinnon, Nora McKinnon, Lucy Langley, Lyla Tortora, Noel Tortora, and Siena Tortora.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, February 15th at 10:00 AM in Saint John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours Wednesday, February 14th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Amos House , 460 Pine Street, Providence, RI, 02907, in memory of Ray, would be greatly appreciated.
