Phillip E. Thibodeau, 74, of Cumberland and formerly of Cambridge, MA, passed away peacefully Monday, October 4, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Williams) Thibodeau. They were happily married for 55 years. Born in Cambridge, MA, he was the son of the late Samuel and Florence (Hill) Thibodeau.
Phillip was an underground mechanic for Eversource for many years, retiring in 2011. He had lived most of his life in Cambridge before moving to Cumberland in 2011. He was an avid singer with his own band and acapella group. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Christine Tedesco and her husband Michael, Rene Whalen and her husband James, and Michael Thibodeau and his wife Kathy McRae, his brother, William Thibodeau, and his grandchildren, Michael Tedesco Jr., Daniel Tedesco, David Tedesco, Courtney Whalen, Ryan Whalen, Jaclyn Whalen, and Kaylee Mills. He also leaves his brother-in-law, Robert Williams. He was the brother of the late Steve Hannon and Jean Crocket.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service Saturday, October 9 th at 12 PM, Noon in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
Visiting hours are Saturday from 10 AM to 12 PM, Noon, prior to the service in the funeral home.
The burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Phillip would be greatly appreciated.
