Patrick D. Callahan, 72, of Albion, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2023 with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of Diane (Tessier) Callahan. Born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Yvonne (Callahan) Jacobs, and adopted parents, the late Edward and Ann (Morosczak) Callahan.

Patrick was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the voting clerk for many years for the RI General Assembly before retiring due to illness. Patrick enjoyed family get-togethers, fishing with his son, traveling, gaming, and his pet cat, Blue. He loved reminiscing and talking politics with his friends, many of whom he had known since boyhood.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Tara Callahan and Shane (Kathryn) Callahan; his siblings, John Loehner, Trudy (Mark) Coury, Chris (Ken) Beckwith, and his late sister Sharon (George) Vogeley; his brother-in-law Robert (Margaret) Tessier. He also leaves his much loved granddaughter, Olivia Bresnahan, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

The burial will be private.
