Pamela Ann Ricci Wamester, 81, of Cranston passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Rocco and Lena (Biagioni) Ricci. She is survived by her daughter, Leah Church and her husband Michael of Cumberland along with her beloved granddaughter Caroline Church. She leaves her sister Roberta Campagna, of San Anselmo, CA in addition to her nieces and nephews, Patricia Lambrou and her husband Theodore, Amy Goggin and her husband Jeffrey, John Tomei and his wife Betsy, all of Cumberland, and David Campagna and his wife Shelia of Rockland, CA. She was the sister of the late Paula Tomei of Cumberland.
She graduated from William E. Tolman High School, Rhode Island College, and received her master's degree from Northeastern University.
Pam was a teacher for the Pawtucket School Department for 39 years before retiring. In addition to this, she was an adjunct professor at Rhode Island College, a board member of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a founding member of the Rhode Island Children's Museum and the Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Arts. Pam could also be found volunteering at McCauley House Ministries or at her church, Immaculate Conception Parish.
You could find Pam in the kitchen whipping up a batch of her favorite biscotti, or watching Murder She Wrote or Monk. At the end of the day though, her favorite place to be was with her family and her friends.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on August 1st at 10:00 AM at Saint John Vianney Church, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery in Pawtucket.
Visiting hours will be held July 31st from 4:00-7:00 PM PM at the O'Neill Funeral Home in Cumberland.
