Orin D. Cook, 81, of Cumberland, passed away suddenly surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Terry (Daigle) Cook. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Charles and Catherine (Kulic) Cook. Orin was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War as a Chaplin's Assistant.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Scott Cook and his wife, Robyn, and Tracey Jobin and her husband, Ken, his grandson, Luke Jobin, and his sister Diana (Cook) Searles.

Over the years, Orin was active in the Boy Scouts organization and a very active participant in the Saint John Vianney community. An avid traveler and fan of Disney World, Orin loved to travel with his family enjoying making many happy memories.

Filling multiple roles with the Federal Government, he retired as a Contracting Officer with the Federal Department of Transportation, Cambridge MA in 2010.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 10:00 AM in Saint John Vianney Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial with military honors will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 261 W. Wrentham Road, Cumberland. Visiting hours will take place on Friday, October 31, 2025 from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
