Nancy A. (Bourgault) Wunschel, 83, of Smithfield, RI, and formerly of Pawtucket, RI, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Fatima Hospital, after battling increased health issues.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Pearl Moon and the late Edward Bourgault.

Nancy is survived by her son, W.Gary Wunschel and his wife, Jo-Ann of Pawtucket. She was the mother of the late Laurie (Wunschel) Marotte. Nancy was the grandmother of LJ Wunschel, and an aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the former wife of the late Walter A. Wunschel, and the companion for many years of the late Edward G. Frechette. She was predeceased by her brothers, Edward, Ronald, and Robert Bourgault.

Nancy worked for the VNA for many years prior to retiring. Nancy was very active in the North Providence and Smithfield Senior Centers attending many functions, including day trips, holiday parties, and bingo. One of her favorite pastimes was relaxing at Oakland Beach enjoying clamcakes and chowder from Iggy's.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, RI. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM.
