Maurice "Moe" Debroisse, 81, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on July 8, 2026. He and his wife, Jeanne (Picard) Debroisse, shared 61 years of marriage filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Francis and Therese (Lacombe) Debroisse. He was a graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy, Class of 1963, and later earned an associate degree from Johnson & Wales University in 1978. Moe proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1962 to 1967 and later in the United States Coast Guard from 1972 to 1978, where he served on a search-and-rescue crew. He enjoyed a successful career as a food industry broker with Acosta Sales, where he worked from 1972 until his retirement in 2012. A devoted parishioner of St. John Vianney Church in Cumberland, Moe was an active member of the Men's Club. He was also a dedicated member of the Rhode Island Bluegrass Alliance and an active member of the Narragansett Saltwater Fishing Club, where he served on the Board of Directors and as president for three years. Above all, Moe was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, cherished great-grandfather, and loyal friend. He found great joy in spending time with his family, fishing, bluegrass music, and serving his community.

In addition to his wife, Jeanne, he leaves his children, Michael Debroisse and his wife, Diana; Richard Debroisse and his wife, Jill; and Paulette Metivier and her husband, Raymond. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cory Debroisse, Kayla Hatcher, Patrick Debroisse, Peter Metivier, Jacob Metivier, Cassandra “Cassie” Flynn, Rebecca Metivier; his ten great-grandchildren; and his brother, Robert Debroisse.
