Mary A. (Conway) Walsh, 92, of Pawtucket, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2024. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 70 years, Joseph F. Walsh. Born in Cumberland, RI, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Connolly) Conway.

Mary was a retired Computer Math teacher for the Pawtucket School system. She was also dedicated to volunteer service, including roles as a cub scout den mother, Darlington Plains and Future Farmers of America board member, and Eucharistic minister. She was the first patient to undergo a transcatheter aortic valve replacement without general anesthesia at Brigham and Women's Hospital, later becoming a patient advocate.

After graduating from the former Hill College, Mary was recruited by the CIA but chose instead to begin her 70-year journey with Joe. She is survived by her children, Joseph F. Walsh III, J. Michael Walsh, Veronica Walsh and husband, Walter Richard. Mary was the beloved Gram to Patrick Farrell and wife Nicole, Mary Kay Champagne and husband Eric, and Kerri Walsh. She was great Gram to Alexandra, Gianna, Emily, Joseph, Keara, Kylie and Naiomi. Mary was the sister to Anna Egan, James Conway and Jacqueline Allen. She was predeceased by her son, Maurice, and siblings Barbara Taylor, William, John, and Thomas Conway. She was also a treasured aunt and a second mom to Susan McNally.

Mary truly thought, from the depths of her soul, that she could change the world with kindness. You can honor her memory with flowers, kind words, or actions that reflect her belief in the goodness of people and the importance of forgiveness.
