Mary Chadwick-Silva, of Baker St., Seekonk, Ma. died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Silva. Mrs. Chadwick-Silva was born in NewFoundland, Canada, daughter of the late John and Anna Margaret (Best) Wilson.
Mrs. Chadwick-Silva was a graduate of the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Pawtucket. She was an Operating Room Nurse at Miriam Hospital, Providence.
Mrs. Chadwick-Silva leaves one son, George D. Chadwick of Pawtucket, one daughter, Joan A. Szelag of Warsaw, Indiana, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her stepchildren, Manuel Silva of Attleboro, Lillian Lemieux of Methuen, Barbara Ferreira of Narragansett, Dorothy Gomes of Smithfield and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Madeliene Langlois.
The funeral for Mrs. Chadwick-Silva will be Friday, June 19, 2009 at 8:30 a.m. from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo the Great, 697 Central Ave., Pawtucket at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Mt. St. Mary"s Cemetery. Calling Hours will be Friday morning from 8:30 am in the funeral home.
