Obituary

Mary J. Gilligan, 104, formerly of Rumford Towers passed away on November 18, 2016. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Gilligan.


Mrs. Gilligan was born in New York, the daughter of the late John Campomenosi and Eugenia (Pastorino) Campomenosi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose greatest joy was baking for her family.


Mrs. Gilligan is survived by her daughters, Patricia Montalbano of North Providence and Helen Voccio and her husband Richard of Sarasota, Florida. She also leaves her sisters, Eleanor Carucci and Yolanda Del Zoppo.


Mary is also survived by her nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Mary was the sister of the late Gloria Serra, &Angelo and Anthony Campomenosi and the grandmother of the late Rosanne Converse and Maryanne Montalbano. She was also the great grandmother of the late Paulie Pizzo Jr.


Mary's family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Heritage Hills where Mary was a resident for over six years.


There will be a Mass of Christian Burial for Mary to which relatives and friends are invited on Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Church of the Presentation, 1081 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Calling hours are respectfully omitted. For online condolences please visit www.manningheffern.com.
