Mary Ann Murphy, 89, of Providence, passed away at her home on October 18, 2022. Also known as Maura or Maureen to her beloved family, she was born in Sneem, Co. Kerry, Ireland to the late Patrick and Catherine (Aldworth) Murphy.

Mary had four siblings – brothers, Patrick, and Timothy, who currently live in the native homestead of Sneem, and Michael (deceased), and sister, Joan (deceased).

Upon coming to the United States in the early 1950's, Mary settled in Providence. She worked at St. Joseph's Hospital in Providence, retiring in 1996. Mary loved family get-togethers and celebrations, whether here or in Ireland. She will be sadly missed by her brothers, nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, and grand-nieces, and extended family and friends.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to calling hours on Sunday, October 30 ^th , in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, from 1:00PM-2:30PM. A funeral service will be held at 2:30PM in the funeral home. Kindly omit flowers. Burial will be in Sneem, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
