Martin H "Marty" O''Brien Jr., 70, of Grand Avenue, Pawtucket died Monday, January 16, 2012 after a fifteen year battle with cancer. Marty was the husband of Carol (Roberge) O''Brien.
Mr. O''Brien was born in Providence, the son of the late Martin H O''Brien sr and Cecilia A. (Coyne) O''Brien. He was a salesman for the Rumford Supply Company for many years.
Marty truly enjoyed sitting in his yard and tending to his flowers and the birds they encouraged to visit.
Besides his wife he leaves his children Elizabeth Beaulieu and her husband Scott of Virginia, Lynda Mattera and her husband Anthony of Pawtucket and Marty O''Brien of California. He is also survived by his sister Kathryn Breault of Pawtucket, his grandchildren Andy Beaulieu, Scott Beaulieu, Erin Beaulieu, David Mattera, Patrick Mattera, and his great grandchildren Ellie and Olivia Beaulieu. He was the brother of the late Janet Landry
There will be a service for Mr. O''Brien Monday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m. in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
