Mark C. Murray, 70, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 30th, 2024. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Fitzgerald) Murray. He was the loving husband of Kelly Durkin-Murray.

Besides his wife Kelly, Mark is survived by his son Brendan Murray.  He is also survived by his brother John Murray of Coventry and his brother Jeffrey Murray of North Smithfield. He was the brother to the late Mary Ellen Murray.

Mark worked as a Computer Programmer for CCRI – Warwick campus for many years prior to retiring. He also worked at Ski Shop Plus and Grig's Nursery in Cumberland.

Mark was a passionate skier for decades vacationing at Mount Snow in Vermont and Attitash Mountain in New Hampshire.  He also was a member of a race team representing Ski Shop Plus.  Mark enjoyed fishing off the rock jetties near the Point Judith Lighthouse and "The Bulkhead" in Galilee. Although he never caught any "keepers", he continued to return to those popular fishing spots every summer. He frequented Friday night car shows and Saturday night races at Seekonk Speedway.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 8th, at 10AM at St John Vianney Church, 3587 Diamond Hill Rd, Cumberland.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 7th from 4PM to 7PM at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.  The burial will be private.
