Mark E. Gauthier, 63, of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on February 3, 2023, with his loving wife by his side. He was the loving husband of Sandra R. (Perry) Gauthier for 35 years. Mr. Gauthier was born in Providence, the son of Joan (Olinger) Rossi and the late Robert Gauthier. He graduated from Davies Vocational High School in 1978 and for many years, was employed as a mold maker for New England Pewter. Mark chose to continue his craft with Tiffany & Co., in Cumberland, Rhode Island, for the past several years.
Mark loved baseball. He learned the game at a young age from his grandfather. He played from little league to men's softball. He was so passionate about the game he decided to become a coach for his nephew Jay. Mark's grandfather was the score keeper. Once his children were old enough to play, he enjoyed coaching and spending time with them. Because of his love and devotion to the game, he chose to become an umpire, after his children had outgrown little league. He became a board member with Darlington American Little League. If Mark was not at home, you could always find him in Slater Park at the ball fields. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his sons.
Besides his wife, Mark is survived by his children, Rhiannon R. Gauthier, of Pawtucket, Ethan J. Gauthier, and Joshua M. Gauthier of Kissimmee, Florida, and his dog Cooper. He also leaves his sister Sharon Gilbert and her husband John as well as his brothers, Robert Gauthier Jr. and his wife Maureen, Scott Gauthier and his wife Susan and Brian Gauthier, along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service for Mark on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 6:00PM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
