Obituary

Marjorie S. Tsonos, of Cumberland, passed into eternal life on April 19, 2024 surrounded by her loving husband and children.

Born on July 10, 1939, in Pawtucket, RI to the late William and Sarah (Foote) Cluley, Marjorie lived her early life in Central Falls, RI. Her husband of 63 years, John and Marjorie raised their two children in Cumberland, RI.  Marjorie graduated from Central Falls High School and began her career at Industrial National Bank and later at the Cumberland Town Hall. She was born into St. George's Church, and was a member for 67 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Church Historian, Co-Chairman of the St. George's Episcopal Charities Committee, and was a member of the order of "The Daughters of the King".

Marjorie is survived by her loving husband John C. Tsonos, her devoted children, Merry Tsonos Leclerc (Daniel) of Cumberland, William C. Tsonos (Mary Ann) of Woonsocket, her grandchildren, Ethan and Sarina Leclerc. She is also survived by her sister, Phyllis Mongeau(Al) of Cumberland, RI and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Sylvia (Robert) DeRiso, of Attleboro, MA. She was a devoted member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Cumberland, RI.

There will be a Funeral Service for Marjorie S. Tsonos on Wednesday, April 24th at 10:00 AM in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 120 Nate Whipple Highway, Cumberland. Her burial will be in Diamond Hill Cemetery, Cumberland. The calling hours for Marjorie will be Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road Cumberland.
