Marjorie LaCross, 86, of Pawtucket, passed into eternal life on February 4, 2023.

Born in Lowell, MA, Marjorie was the daughter of the late William and Armena (Bishop) LaCross. She worked as a switchboard operator at Eastern Toy for 18 years, Malina Co. for 7 years and then at Nellie Mae for 12 years prior to retiring. While working at Nellie Mae she made lifelong friendships and still enjoyed talking and getting together with those closest to her, especially Carole and Brenda.

Margie enjoyed going to the beach, traveling with her family, especially the adventures with her partner Rene, his sisters Ann and Bernie, and their husbands in "the van" which she reminisced about often.  She enjoyed snowmobiling, loved going to the casino and playing the slots and enjoyed playing cards. She had wonderful friends at the Jeanne Jugan Residence where she lived, especially Rose, Shirley, Elaine, and recently Rene's sister Ann, as well as the Little Sisters and those who worked there with whom she became closer to especially in the last few years since the passing of the love of her life Rene.

Marjorie was the long-time companion of the late Rene Beatty for over 60 years.

She is survived by her daughter; Cindy Bourgault and her husband Robert. She was the grandmother to Chace Bourgault, Renee Bourgault, and Julie Bourgault. with whom she was extremely proud of and loved watching them grow into adulthood.  She was the sister to the late Helen LaCross.

Due to Covid restrictions at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Jeanne Jugan Residence, relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service on Sunday, February 12 ^th at 2:00 PM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Visiting hours are Sunday from 12:00-2:00 PM, prior to the Service in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home. The burial will be private.
