Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mario A. Machado who left us peacefully on February 25th, 2025.

Born in Porto Martins Terceira Azores, Mario found joy in the simple things in life. Whether he was enjoying a quiet day outdoors hunting and fishing or embarking on new travel adventures. One of Mario's many gifts was his ability to make everyone feel welcomed and loved at his home. He was known for his extravagant Annual July 3rd Parties!

Mario devoted much of his professional life as a self-employed truck driver for 19 years and he later worked for the City of Pawtucket, until his well-earned retirement.

Mario was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He is leaving behind cherished memories of a life filled with vibrant energy, a bright smile, and a deep love for his passions.

Mario is survived by his loving wife Maria Lurdes Machado, his son Kevin Machado, his daughter in law Bethany Machado, two grandchildren Paige and Van Machado, which he devoted his weekends to.  A brother Jose Machado (Dawn), Sisters Lina Bechard (Kevin), Sonia Corbin (Joseph), and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Mario and Maria Machado and his nephew Joseph Machado.

Mario leaves behind a legacy of laughter from all the memorable stories that family and friends will share and a reminder to always embrace the things that bring happiness.

Rest in peace. You will always be remembered for your kind spirit, giving nature, and the incredible energy you brought into this world. You will never be forgotten. We Love You!
