FLAG) Manuel Santos, 86, formerly of Lincoln Ave, Pawtucket died, Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Oak Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Pawtucket.
Mr. Santos was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Jose and Ana (Gomes-Martins) DosSantos. He was a United States Veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corp. Mr. Santos was an Auxiliary Policeman for the City of Pawtucket for many years. He was a foreman at RI Textile prior to his appointment as an Auxillary Policeman.
He is survived by his sister, Silvina Santos of Pawtucket, his children, Dennis W. Santos and Anita Jacobs and four grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Alfred DosSantos.
The funeral for Mr. Santos will be Monday at 9:30 am from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph"s Church, Walcott St, at 10:30am. His burial with full military honors will be in Mt. St. Mary"s Cemetery. There will be calling hours for Mr. Santos, Monday morning from 8:30am to which relatives and friends are invited.
