Obituary

Manuel G. Aguiar, 82, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Born in San Miguel, Azores Portugal, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria do Rosario (Costa) Aguiar. Manuel was a loving, caring, man who enjoyed celebrating his Portuguese heritage with his family whenever possible. Manuel will be remembered most fondly for his love of making wine and aguardente, working in the garden, and his ultimate devotion to the Holy Ghost and his family.

Manuel was one of the strongest, kindest men, who will be missed greatly by many.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Rita Aguiar, Odesia Moitoso, Manuela Almeida, Manuel Aguiar, Diane Aguiar, and Kimberly Aguiar, his sisters, Maria Jose' Trindade and Maria VEnilde Ferreira. He also leaves eleven grandchildren. Manuel was the brother of the late Jose Garcia Aguiar and Maria Margarida Costa.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, September 21st at 10:00 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Avenue, Pawtucket. The burial will be private.

Visiting hours are Wednesday, September 20th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
