Obituary

Louise A. Warszawski, 92, of Manville, died at home on Saturday, December 9, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Warszawski. She was a professed member of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelite, Barrington, RI.

She was born in Manville Rhode Island on September 13, 1931, a daughter of the late Louis and Antonia (Ziemba) Holubesko.  She was baptized on October 30, 1935, in St. Stanislaus Church in Woonsocket and received the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation at St. James Church in Manville.  She entered the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony with her husband, John on September 15, 1951, at St. James Church in Manville.

She received the anointing of the sick and then Last Rites of the Catholic Church on December 5, 2023.

She had been employed by the accounting firm of Christenson and Company for many years, and by a second accounting firm for 28 years.  With her husband and children, she resided in North Smithfield for 31 years, moving to Foster for 19 years, and then returning to the town of her birth Manville (Lincoln) RI.

She is survived by two sons, John Warszawski Jr. and his wife Susan of Jamestown, David Warszawski and his companion, Norma of Foster, and by one daughter Mary Maloney and her companion, Bob of East Greenwich. Louise is survived by three grandchildren: Jessica Fuller and her husband Sean, Erica Maloney, and Justin Bishandeski.

Louise was predeceased by her siblings: Stephanie Bissonnette, Mary Shackleton, Stacia Waszkiewicz, Joseph Holubesko, Walter Holubesko, Frank Holubesko, Sophie Mei, Caroline Peloquin, and Phyllis Huizenga.

Family and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, December 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 33 Division St, Manville, RI.  Visiting hours will be from 8:00 - 9:30 AM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland prior to Mass on Friday.  The burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, West Wrentham Road, Cumberland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for the Washington Province Discalced Carmelite Secular Order (WPDCSO), OCDS Main Office Donations, 166 Foster Street, Brighton, MA 02135.
