In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Father

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Louis Josaphat Duverseau, who passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at the age of 98 years old, surrounded by his children, Violla and Sylvie and grandchildren, Carrel Andre and Taisha Alexis, at Hope Health Hospice Care in Providence, Rhode Island.

Born in Torbeck, Haiti, on April 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Josias Duverseau and Bethilia Collagene.

He was a hard worker, spending most of his life as a fisherman and farmer. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother (leaving behind his only living sibling, his sister, Louisiana Duverseau), and friend. He will always be remembered for his love, strength, kindness, and the memories he created with his family and those who knew him.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we are grateful for the many years we were blessed to have him in our lives. His love and legacy will continue to live on in his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may God comfort all those who mourn his loss.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow at Woodlawn-North Purchase Cemetery, 825 N Main Street, Attleboro, MA.

Visitation will take place prior to the Service, on Saturday, August 29th from 9:00 - 10:30 AM in the funeral home.
