Lorraine J. Desrochers, 87, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully February 6, 2024. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late J. Armand and Irene (Boisclair) Paquette. Lorraine grew up in Central Falls, she was a majorette for the Notre Dame Band and led her group to numerous awards and titles. She was a graduate of Anna Maria Collage in Paxton, MA. She owned and operated Ice Cream Bucket and Fairlawn Junction Resturant on Smithfield Ave. in Pawtucket where she gave numerous relatives and community people their first job, either scooping ice cream or serving clam cakes and chowder.
She is survived by her family Christine D. Roessler and husband James, Edward A. Gingras and his wife Maria of AZ., Dawn Gingras, and Ruth Soares. She also leaves her grandchildren, Smantha (Fick) Nelson, William Fick, Liam Roessler, Edward B. Gingras, Devany Roessler, Andrew Soares, and Alyssa Soares, and her great grandchildren: Benjamin, Delaney, Maxwell and Baby Nelson. She was the mother of the late Caroline L. Gingras and Charline (Gingras) Fick. She was a sister to Armand Paquette and Ronald Paquette. She was the sister of the late Leo Paquette, Claire Rainville, Colette Paquette, and Conrad Paquette.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Committal Service on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket.
