Lisa A. Walsh (Kut), 56, of Cumberland passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Born and raised in Cumberland, Lisa was married to William (Bill) Walsh for 32 years and the proud mother of Michael Walsh (North Providence, RI) and Meaghan Walsh (Brookline, MA). She is the daughter of Elaine Kut of Cumberland and the late James Kut. Lisa was the daughter-in-law of the late Bob and Betty Walsh of Cumberland. Lisa also leaves two sisters Karen Lawrence Haney (Hyannis, MA) and Kristen Kut (Citrus Hills, FL). Through marriage, Lisa was blessed with two 'bonus' sisters, Kathleen Lynch and Christine Phillips both of Cumberland.

Lisa was the brightest of lights in the lives of all she met without having to shine as the center of attention. She lived a life where she was the first to offer help and the last to ask for anything. Lisa's greatest passion was her children and ensuring they were launched into a life filled with love and opportunity. They were, and will always be, her greatest joy.

Lisa graduated from Cumberland High School and Johnson & Wales University. For the last 22 years, Lisa worked as the office manager at Dome Construction in Central Falls, RI. Lisa was committed to exercise and her health, loved morning coffee, reading, travel, a Kay's steak sandwich, and the Zac Brown Band. While she loved time on the beach in Aruba, she was equally as happy with an iced coffee or glass of wine on her Adirondack chairs in Cumberland. Lisa will be remembered for decades of flawless Thanksgiving dinners and her legendary Patriots tailgate pizza which will be missed by more people than you can imagine. Mostly, we will miss her grace and kindness and are reassured that it will be passed along through family and friends, who will miss her dearly until they meet again.

In early 2023, Lisa was diagnosed with Glioblastoma which eventually took her life. The care she received throughout her journey by the compassionate community of healthcare workers was amazing. Of specific note and mention is the neuro oncology team at Dana Farber Cancer Institute led by Dr. Gilbert Youssef who combined medical expertise with compassion and kindness.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 12th at 10:00 AM in Saint John Vianney Church 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, December 11th from 4:00-7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
